Hi my name is Courtney Birss, i am currently studying photography at Manchester Metropolitan University in my third year. When making my work i tend to lean towards landscape and documentary photography as i like the capture things without them being posed and uncomfortable, however sometimes i do chose to follow controversial subjects which i am passionate about so they can get a rise from veiwers and hopefully educate my audience. The work i make is usually shot digitally, although i have created some work on films and in darkrooms.
